Hello, I'm Madi!

My name is Madison (Madi) Strater. I am the head photographer and owner of In the Moment Photography. I run my business with the help of my beautiful mother, Jenifer Strater. I do not know what I would do without my partner in crime.

I have had a passion for photography ever since I was first handed a camera during my freshman year of highschool to take photos for our school yearbook. I am currently a Senior in college at Indiana University South Bend - Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics to get my Bachelor of Science with a Concentration in General Business with Honors. I will use my degree to continue to grow and expand my business in the future. But when I'm not behind the camera or at school, you can usually find me cuddled up watching Netflix or reading a book.

My family means the world to me. Without them, I can honestly say I would not be anywhere near where I am now. As Brad Henry once said, "Families are the compass that guides us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter."

Some Fun Facts About Me:

I LOVE dad jokes. I can usually come up with a joke at any given moment because I love to laugh and make others smile. What is life without laughter?
I am a little shy at first, but once you get to know me, I will talk your ear off!
When on vacation, I prefer to go to museums instead of relaxing on the beach. I like to stay on my toes and get a chance to learn more about the beautiful world we live in.

Now that you know me a little better, I would be happy to learn more about you and your family so that I can provide you with the best experience possible. I am excited to document memories and special moments for you to remember and look back at for the rest of your life.

Hello, I'm Jeni!

I am a loving wife and mother of 3 (one of them is our dog named Bay). My husband Tim and I were high school sweethearts and have been married for 24 wonderful years. And yes, were still that gross, affectionate couple that argues about who loves who most, lol....which is me of course! We have 2 beautiful children, Madi and Brady. They're our greatest accomplishments in life and have taught us the true meaning of unconditional love, compassion, and strength. We have had some very trying times, but throughout it all, we have grown stronger and have shared all our experience's with our children, good or bad. We could not be more proud as parents that they have taken that knowledge and are building futures of their own. Hard work, dedication and determination.

Currently I work for Jayco RV as a Warranty Analyst during the day, sports mom taxi driver at night, and a photography assistant any time needed in-between. I cannot say no to volunteering or special projects (which my husband loves, lol) big or small. Family and friends are what helps us keep going and have helped us in ways that I can never truly repay.

I have loved photography since I was young and am so blessed that I get to witness Madi's love for photography grow and strengthen. She is unbelievably talented and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for her.
